Ingredients
- 2 cups masa harina
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups chicken broth

In a large bowl, combine the masa harina, salt, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder and vegetable oil. Mix until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and a soft dough is formed.

Add the chicken broth and mix until the dough becomes slightly wet and it’s easy to handle.

Preheat the oven to 375F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Divide the dough into 12 balls. Roll each one into a thin disc and place them on the baking sheet.

Bake the tamales for 20 minutes until lightly golden.
