Faiz with a Japanese twist. Hana San Sour is a totally unique fusion cocktail inspired by the Pisco Sour. It combines Ginjo sake, yuzu citrus juice, and Pisco liquor to create a delicious and refreshing libation. Ginjo sake is an Junmai Daiginjo type of sake, made using a traditional multi-step Japanese brewing process. Yuzu citrus juice is a beloved Japanese ingredient, grown in rural parts of Japan and used in many dishes. The combination of the two with the Pisco creates a very unique flavor profile that can’t be found anywhere else. The flavor profile of this cocktail is sweet and sour. It starts with a pungent and sweet flavor from the Ginjo sake, then leads to a sour citrus note from the yuzu juice, and it is all rounded off with a hint of Pisco. This cocktail is best served chilled and with a garnish of yuzu citrus peel. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 ounce Ginjo Sake
  • 1/2 ounce Yuzu juice
  • 1/2 ounce Pisco
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup

    Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds, or until ingredients are combined.
